Naomi Campbell is set to star as a mentor on new fashion reality show The Face.
The star will coach aspiring models who will go head-to-head to become the face of a major brand.
The 41-year-old will be one of three supermodels responsible for moulding and nurturing the contestants on the NBC Universal programme.
The other two coaches are yet to be announced. The show will air on Oxygen, the cable network that airs America's Next Top Model.
“With The Face the audience will get a real insider’s look at this exciting industry that has been so good to me,” Naomi said in a press release, according to British newspaper the Daily Mail.
“One lucky girl will become the face of a major brand.”
Naomi’s new TV stint follows guest spots on scripted series including The Cosby Show and New York Undercover.
She follows in the footsteps of other supermodels who have hosted fashion reality shows including Heidi Klum on Project Runway, Elle Macpherson on Britain's Next Top Model and Tyra Banks on America’s Next Top Model.
The Face hails from Shine Media which produces The Biggest Loser and Tabatha Takes Over. A premiere date is yet to be confirmed.
Senior vice president of original programming and development at Oxygen Media, Rod Aissa, promises the show will be different from other modelling reality shows.
"The Face is a fresh new series that delivers all the elements our audience craves: fashion, beauty and drama,” he said.
"Oxygen has been looking for the next ideation in the modelling genre and this project delivers it."
The Face is being launched as America's Next Top Model undergoes a revamp after viewer ratings have dropped by 45 per cent year-on-year.
Jay Manuel, Nigel Barker and J Alexander have been axed from the show and reports suggest fashion blogger BryanBoy will join Tyra's team.
