Nick Cheung has no plans to hike his pay

17 Apr – Hong Kong Film Awards' best actor, Nick Cheung said that he has not thought about increasing his salary despite winning the award.

In an interview with Mingpao, the actor whose current salary per movie is alleged to amount to HKD 12 million, revealed that he has already negotiated most of his acting jobs for 2014 and 2015 before the awards ceremony and hasn't thought much about hiking his price.

The actor revealed that he already has five scripts, commercial deals and other offers to review at the moment, as well as four new movies awaiting release.

"I want to break the three-year bad luck streak associated with HKFA's best actors," said Nick. "I won't be pleased or proud that I won the award, but will put more effort into making movies."

When asked if he would give preferential treatment to director Dante Lam now, seeing that he only won HKFA accolades through Dante's movies, "Unbeatable" and "The Beast Stalker", Nick said jokingly, "Dante should make a romance movie so that Sammi Cheng and I can continue our previous relationship. We just finished filming our new movie and I don't think I had enough."

There is only one condition to his acting preference. No more rigorous muscle training!
