30 Sep – PSY finally debunked rumours of him planning on recording the English version of his massive hit, "Gangnam Style".
According to Allkpop website, the singer explained his reason for not doing so, saying, "I do not want to cause confusion among the 160 million people (at the time of interview) who watched the music video. An English version will not happen."
The singer added that he believed that the sound, the dance and the non-verbal aspect of the song are more important than the language itself.
However, the singer still plans on releasing a song in English, which will be likely handled by his international manager, Scooter Braun.
According to Global Mnet website, the singer enthused about the similarities between himself and his new manager, saying that, "When I see Scooter Braun I feel like I'm watching my own reflection. We really have the same character mental-wise – we work hard, party hard, drink hard, loving life and loving music. We're like brothers. He was the first manager I met in the US but I wanted to work with him because of our similarities."
"Gangnam Style" has currently hit the 200 million mark, with over 220 million views at the time of writing.
