"Police Story 2013" to release in December

1 Jul – The release date of the sixth instalment of the "Police Story" franchise, "Police Story 2013" has been scheduled for December this year.

According to Sohu website, the highly-anticipated movie, starring Jackie Chan and mainland actors Liu Ye and Jing Tian, recently unveiled its first promotional poster and announced its release, revealing that its theatrical release date has been set for 24 December.

Directed by Jackie's favourite director, Ding Shen who worked with him in "Little Big Soldier", "Police Story 2013" has been revealed as a stand-alone movie instead of a continuation of the original franchise.

It starts with a hostage situation in a pub perpetrated by its owner, Wu Jiang (Liu Ye) who executes the plan in order to secure the release of an imprisoned criminal. However, among those who are trapped include criminal police officer Zhong Wen (Jackie Chan) and his rebellious daughter Miaomiao (Jing Tian).
