Prosecution demanded jail sentences with a total of 11 years for the nine members of Tajinyo, with the highest sentence at two years and six months.
It turned in a list of 170 items of evidence against Tajinyo at the final trial held on June 8 to back the demand.
The Tajinyo members asked for favorable treatment saying they didn’t mean to defame anyone, but the prosecution requested a strict penalty as the crime was severe. The sentences add up to a total of 11 years and eight months, with an average of a year and three months.
Tablo sued 11 Tajinyo members in August 2010 on defamation charges, and withdrew charges on two of them in May 2012 because their attacks weren’t as severe as the others. The other nine were sent to court for violating the Act on Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
The final sentence will be passed on July 6.
