Psy has made a slight alteration to his Japanese debut plans.
Though the singer initially had planned to debut in Japan with Roppongi Style, a Japanese version of his sixth album title track, Gangnam Style, Psy has decided he will stick with the original title of Gangnam Style.
The move, no doubt, was influenced by the mega global-hit status of Gangnam Style as it continues to receive growing explosive popularity all over the world.
According to sources, a meeting was recently held with YG Entertainment’s staff members, including head Yang Hyun Suk, and Psy. In the end, they all decided that no matter where and what language Gangnam Style would be exported to, the title would remain the same, as would the location of ‘Gangnam’ and words like sanai (man) in the song’s lyrics.
In addition to Japan, Psy is currently mulling making his debut into the American music market and recently even received a call from Justin Bieber′s agency.
