"Dad, Where Are We Going" to hit cinemas

15 Dec – It was reported that, "Dad, Where Are We Going", the hottest Korean variety show to be adapted into a Chinese version this year, is heading to the big screen.

According to CRI Website, the variety show, which follows five fathers and their pre-school aged children exploring the real world and facing challenges in remote areas, is currently filming its movie version in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.

Sharing the same name as the variety show, the movie also stars the same cast. Actor Jimmy Lin and his son Kimi, actor Guo Tao and his son Stone, former Olympic diving champion Tian Liang and his daughter Cindy, supermodel Zhang Liang and his son Tiantian, and director Wang Yuelun and his daughter Angela will spend five days in Guangzhou's Chimelong Safari Park, to learn about animals and nature as well as experiencing a new adventure.

It is rumoured that the movie version will be released on 31 January next year.

Meanwhile, following the success of the first season, producers are reportedly seeking new celebrities to star in the second season. Singer-actor Wu Chun has also recently expressed his interest to star in the show, in order to stay close to his two-year-old daughter, Nei Nei.
