Written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, the fifth instalment of the video game adaptation continues the story of a society ravaged by Umbrella Corporation's deadly T-virus, which transforms the global population into legions of increasingly lethal Undead. The human race's last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most impenetrable operations facility. In an attempt to escape from the vast, high-tech complex, Alice will have to battle her way through the cityscapes of Tokyo, New York City, Moscow and Washington, D.C. with the help of a crew of elite commandos. As if that is not hard enough, along the way, she will encounter a series of mind-blowing revelations that will force her to rethink everything she once believed.
"Resident Evil: Retribution "will open in Shaw Theatres IMAX on 13 September 2012. To date, the film franchise adaptation has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide.
