Ranveer Singh to star in MAGADHEERA remake

Bollywood has been making blockbuster hits by remaking South films. And the fad seems to be lasting even now. Vikas Bahl and Anurag Kashyap's production house Phantom has now bought the rights of SS Rajamouli directed Telegu film MAGADHEERA.
Vikas has also confirmed that Ranveer Singh will be playing the central character in the film. "MAGADHEERA is a passion project for us at Phantom and we are excited to have the rights to recreate this magical piece of work that blew us. Ranveer is the best thing that could have happened to it. He has all the ingredients to be a passionate lover, a warrior and an entertainer," asserts Bahl.
The lead actress and the director of the film are yet to be finalised. The Hindi version is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 50 crore and it will go on floors later this year.
