Rihanna’s make-up artist says a metallic eyeshadow is the perfect way to take your look from day to night.
Beauty pro Kabuki has previously worked with the sultry star and Kylie Minogue amongst others and knows how to put together a stunning evening look. Revealing his top tips and must-have products, Kabuki advised to embrace the current trend for metallic eyes for a dramatic party style.
“Get party-ready from work by adding a touch of metallic eyeshadow over eyelids - silver is really big news this summer. Then apply a couple of single false lashes towards the outer eye and you’ll be all set,” he told British magazine Closer.
Kabuki also revealed his biggest beauty no-nos, which include sloppily applied make-up.
And for those on a budget, the make-up pro named his favourite value beauty buy.
“My beauty no-nos are visible lip liner, flaking mascara and poorly blended foundation. The key to getting make-up right is to make sure it looks as smooth and natural as possible,” he said. “If I only had £5, I would buy Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. It’s a brilliant, long-lasting mascara that works for day time and then, with a couple of extra coats, it creates great evening lashes, too.”
