Ronald Cheng plans to establish own company

9 Apr – Cantopop singer and actor, Ronald Cheng recently revealed that he is planning to direct his first movie and establish his own company very soon.

As reported on Groove Asia website, the actor, whose contract with Golden Typhoon ended last March, revealed that he has a plan to become a director and establish his own production in the likes of many other actors.

With his new plan in motion, the actor hopes that he will finally able to release himself from the "Boss' son" nickname that has been given to him by his peers and the media.

The actor's father, Norman Cheng is the CEO of EMI Asia. In his early years as an aspiring composer and record producer, Ronald did odd jobs at his father's company - which included doing back-up vocals for the likes of Alan Tam and Priscilla Chan before gaining the attention from music producers.

Meanwhile, Ronald will also be co-directing a movie with Gordon Chan, entitled "Cheung Bo Jai".
