Akshay Kumar starrer Rowdy Rathore has been cleared by the censor board with a 'UA' certificate. Akshay is usually known to make comedies which can be viewed by the family, but this time looks like the star is entering a different territory.
The main reason why the film was not given a 'U' certificate, was the inclusion of the item song Aa Re Pritam Pyare, which has suggestive lyrics.
"Yes, the song was a reason for the 'UA' certificate. We have given the film 'UA' with cuts. We've asked them to remove one head-crushing scene, some abuses in Hindi and a few double-meaning dialogues," an officer from the Censor Board of Film Certification was quoted to have said.
Rowdy Rathore also starring Sonakshi Sinha, is directed by Prabhu Deva and is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
