First they brought you Caviar, now they’re bringing Velvet to your fingertips. Nope, we’re not hinting at the latest gastronomic trend, we’re gushing about the super cool Autumnal offering from quirky nail company Ciaté.

While we all fell prey to the lure of sporting the Caviar nail look, we weren't 100% certain we could handle the little guys stuck all over our nails - seriously, those little pearls are like the wicked cousins of the hundred and thousand family. They. Get. Everywhere. Which is why we are even more excited about the new kid on the block, the Velvet Manciure.

Good news for beauty babes out there! Those that have endured the tumultuous task of gluing and sticking the 3D look will be a dab hand at Ciaté’s next offering. Taking inspiration from the crushed velvet clothing seen on the McQueen, Balmain and Gucci catwalks of Autumn Winter 2012, the new mani kit adds the same matt, textured feel to your nails. Genius! The words ‘crushed velvet’ have got us swooning already over the sheer sensuality and we can barely contain our excitement over the three shades which are Mink Cashmere, Berry Poncho and Blue Suede: which will you choose for your most decadent fingertip look yet?!

The set comprises a miniature paint pot, crushed velvet and a little black brush so you can be an artist in your own right.
