Sharon Chan dismisses wedding rumour
18 Mar – Sharon Chan recently dismissed rumours of an upcoming wedding with boyfriend of six years, William Lui.
As reported on Popular Asians, a tabloid recently reported that the actress is planning her wedding that will take place at the end of the year. It was stated that Sharon has decided to settle down after continuously working for the past few years.
A source alleged that the actress, who injured her neck, her collarbone and diagnosed with kidney inflammation in 2011 due to her workaholic attitude, was afraid that her illness would come back and decided that she should slow down.
The source disclosed, "Her boyfriend has good monetary standing and is always telling her to slow down. She used to reject William's marriage proposals before, but seeing William being so supportive of her still made her realise that she really should take a breather. Sharon now thinks that marrying a good husband is more important than a career, so she finally promised to marry him."
"For now, they plan to hold the wedding at the end of the year. They haven't decided if the wedding will be a big celebration or not. Right now, her health comes first. They also really want to have a baby," the insider added.
To this, Sharon responded on Weibo, dismissing the rumour and stated, "I didn't stop my work, fall sick, plan to get married, and have kids as indicated in the report! I posted this message because I don't want people who care about me to worry! I am very healthy and happy! I still love my work! I'm preparing for my new TVB drama, which will start filming in April."
