4 Aug – Shinagawa Hiroshi from the Japanese comedic duo Shinagawa Shouji suffered a fractured knee after he was running while drunk.
According to Tokyo Hive, the injury was revealed by Shinagawa's partner Tomoharu Shoji, and Shinagawa himself could not believe how easily he fractured his left knee that his agency said would take three to four weeks to recover.
"I drank alcohol! Got drunk! Frolicked! Ran! And stopped suddenly! Fractured!!! Seriously! My bone is weak! 1 month for complete recovery!" Shinagawa wrote on his official blog.
"I've never heard of a bone breaking like that. Even the doctor told me, 'I've never heard of a bone breaking by running and stopping suddenly.' It's the first time I've fractured something at 40-years-old," he added.
Shinagawa apologised for his 'stupid' accident but said that it could not be helped.
