Sita Chan's family mourns on site

19 Apr – Sorrowed by the sudden passing of their beloved daughter and sister, Sita Chan's parents and younger sister recently returned to the site of the accident to pay their respect in the rain.

HK Top Ten website reported that at 3 pm on 18 April, the Chan family brought incense sticks, candles, fruits and other offerings to the accident site, while the police blocked one of the lanes for them to pay their respect.

However, the family refused to accept any interview, and left as soon as they ended the ceremony.

Meanwhile, speaking to the media on the same day, Sita's manager Paco Wong, revealed that he still has not settled down after being informed about the tragedy the morning before.

Asked why he didn't attend the ceremony on the road, Paco stated, "I did not want to disturb Sita's family."

The manager also revealed that he has not seen Sita's body after the tragedy but learned from her parents that Sita's face was not harmed. They estimated the cause of death to be internal bleeding, but refused to make too many speculations as they have not received a detailed police report yet.

On the early morning of 17 April, pop star Sita Chan drove home alone from her vocal practice and met with an accident in Yau Ma Tei at Harbourside. She was rushed to the Kwong Wah hospital but died two hours later.
