‘Superstar K4’ Decides Its Top 10

Superstar K4 has decided its top 10.

In the September 28 broadcast of Mnet’s Superstar K4 the ‘rival death match’ from last week continued this week. The rival death match is a stage to decide the Top 10 and is one of the most anxiety-ridden stage.

Unlike the previous collaboration stages in which team work was key, as the name suggests, in the rival death match, contestants must fight and win.

However if one purposely selects a song only he or she knows or goes into it without any strategy, it could come back to hurt them.

There were many groups that were eliminated altogether for their lack of harmony but none in which a group was eliminated altogether regrettably. In neck-and-neck competitions it was always one contestant that was cut.

In the much anticipated conclusion of the Roy Kim and Jung Joon Young rival mission, Roy Kim made it through to the live finals while Jung Joon Young was eliminated.

So too, were Yoo Seung Woo- who suffered through a worsening condition of his throat- and Hongdae indie band DickPunks.

In the end the Top 10 that were selected included Daykers, Yang Kyung Seok, Choi Da Un, Roy Kim, Lee Ji Hye, Kim Jung Hwan, Yeon Kyu Sung, Kim Woo Young, Ahn Ye Seul, Gye Bum Soo and Volume.

After the rival death matches were finished, the Superstar K 4 show producers told the eliminated, “There will be no loser revival this year. Please pack your belongings and return.”

For fans of the show who had been anticipating the loser revival, this came as a shock.

But right at the end, there was a glimmer of hope as the eliminated contestants were seen heading into an undisclosed location before the words, “Everything will be revealed next week”, was shown.
