15 Sep - Japanese actress Takei Emi would be playing her third consecutive leading role in NTV's "Tokyo Zenryoku Shoujo" in October.
According to Tokyo Hive, Takei would be playing as a 19-year-old girl named Saeki Rei with a cheerful disposition. Rei reunites with her father, who abandoned her and her mother 15 years ago, and tries to change his life to have him remarry. The drama series has been described to be a heartwarming comedy between father and daughter.
"Though I had played many characters who were burdened with some kind of destiny, this time, I will be playing a role that I have never done before, and that could help me pull out my new self. I hope it will be a drama that cheers up the people who watch it. I can't wait to play the role!" said Takei, who has previously played lead roles in TV Asahi's "W no Higeki" and Fuji TV's "Iki mo Dekinai Natsu", which is still airing.
Watanabe Asuro would play as Rei's father, with other casts such as Miura Shohei as a boy with a crush on Rei, Higa Manami as an unpopular model and Tsukamoto Takashi as a single father.
Written by Ban Kazuhiko, "Tokyo Zenryoku Shoujo" would be airing on 10 October.
