TVB blacklists mutinous stars and deserters

31 Jul – With the fate of HKTV's free-to-air licenses is still blurry, a lot of former TVB actors were welcomed back to the station, except for a few artistes, which have been rumoured to be banned by the company.

According to HK Channel, despite HKTV's attempts at releasing several interesting looking trailers for their series, the lack of a TV license caused issues for the company, as interests of the media and public began to wane.

This resulted in a lot of former TVB stars whose annual contract with HKTV will be expiring any time soon, deciding to return to TVB instead.

The news was received with a warm welcome by TVB Deputy Director of External Affairs, Tsang Sing Ming, who stressed that the station will accept any stars with the desire to return.

However, it was rumoured that this is not the case for everybody, and that several names such as Felix Wong, Wilson Tsui, Ha Yu and Lo Hoi Pang, who left TVB after accusing the station of unjust treatment, will not be accepted into the company.

Nonetheless, Wilson is positive that the ban will be lifted, seeing that the old TVB management has been replaced by new people.

The actor stated, "Of course, nobody would be happy being blacklisted. I only had a problem with the old boss [General Manager Mark Lee]. The company has a new boss now. I'm actually free at the moment and they can call me if they need me."
