1 Jul - TVB latest action drama "Tiger Cubs" premiered in Hong Kong last week. According to the latest TV ratings report, the drama had successfully gained an average rating of 29 points, peaking at 30 points.

"Tiger Cubs" is the latest TVB action drama broadcasting on the Sunday night-time slot. The drama features a team of elite paramilitary officers from the Special Duties Unit of the Hong Kong police force, starring Joe Ma, Jessica Hsuan, Him Law, Vincent Wong and Mandy Wong.

The lead actor of the drama, Joe Ma said he was very satisfied with the ratings. He told reporters that he was initially expecting the ratings to be around 23 to 25 points.

The crew and all the actors taking part in the drama are said to be very happy and shocked regarding the unexpectedly high ratings.

Rumour has it that the drama is derived from the 2004 action film, "Breaking News". Regarding the matter, Joe said that all police films are undeniably linked to robberies and criminals, the most important thing is the fresh feeling in their drama.
