TVXQ Talks about Its Fears as a Duo in ‘I AM’

The members of TVXQ (DBSK) opened up on the fears they felt before performing as a duo for the first time.

U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin talked about their fears and concerns about their two-member comeback in the preview for the film I AM that aired on June 18 in Seoul.

After members Xiah Junsu, Micky Yoo Chun and Hero Jae Joong left the group, the remaining members performed for the first time at the SMTown Live 10-World Tour held in August 2010 in Seoul.

U-Know Yunho said in the film, “Before the performance, we were afraid on whether everyone would have waited for us. It didn’t feel like a comeback; it was a hope hanging by a thread, a hope that the two of us could do it.”

He then added, “President Lee Soo Man said after watching the performance that we would ‘be fine as two.’”

TVXQ also talked about how they had felt more nervous for their comeback as a duo than they had before their debut performance.

Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho said about each other, “I’ve never seen him so nervous.”

After showcasing its new duo act, the group landed safely in K-Pop with its single Why in 2011. It then went on to perform at the Madison Square Garden in October 2011 for the SMTown Live performance.

I AM will also tell stories about other SM Entertainment artists including Super Junior, f(x), SHINee, Kangta and BoA. The film shows how these teams came to debut and continued on their careers to ultimately get to perform in New York in 2011. It will premiere on June 21.
