Holy-moly – it’s official! After Victoria Beckham spent last year denying rumours circulating that she’d already asked BFF Eva Longoria to be baby Harper’s godmother, she’s finally confirmed it – and Eva is ‘thrilled’. Aww…

Eva revealed that David and Victoria had asked her at a celeb party in London, telling press that she would be flying to England for the christening later in the summer. Appaz, the ceremony will be held in the couple’s swanky Hertfordshire home, lovingly dubbed ‘Beckingham Palace’.

The star of Desperate Housewives told journalists: ‘Victoria asked me to be Harper’s godmother, and of course I said yes. I’m absolutely thrilled.  Harper is simply adorable.’

It was reported last year that Eva was desperate for children, and was rumoured to be considering adopting, despite divorcing from her husband, Tony Parker, allegedly after she found out he’d been texting one of her girlfriends.

Ten-month-old Harper is not the only Beckham to have celebrity godparents – Brooklyn and Romeo have none other than Elton John and David Furnish as godfathers. Yowza.

And Harper – along with her brothers Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 9 and Cruz, 7 - can expect a celeb reception – it’s reported that their A-list celeb pals Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith could be invited along.

Good thing that Harper recently won her first modelling contract then, hey? We can’t wait to see what she’s wearing! Predictions anyone?
