If you've retired heavy winter clothes in exchange for flouncy blouses and breezy sundresses, then you've probably realized that certain body parts haven't seen the light of day in a very long time. You can double-stick tape your plunging necklines all you want, but sometimes, a little foundation can make a big difference, too. We spoke with makeup artist Jenn Streicher to find out how to get your décolletage ready to bare.

1. Even things out. After applying a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher sunscreen (a must for staving off future sun damage), apply a body foundation (such as Make Up For Ever Face & Body Liquid Makeup) that matches the skin on your face, then blend it onto your décolletage with a large, flat foundation brush. You can also combine a regular light-coverage foundation like Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation with a little body lotion, then brush the mixture on.

2. Camouflage. Hide any particularly stubborn blemishes or spots by dotting a thin coat of concealer over the marks with your finger or a small brush.

3. Diffuse. Streicher then uses a damp BeautyBlender to soften the color. "You shouldn't be trying to erase your freckles," she says. "Full coverage isn't natural. You just want to smooth it out and get a really nice skin tone."

4. Set. Dust your chest with translucent powder to dry and set the makeup.
