4-minute 'The Amazing Spider-Man' super preview hits the web

A ‘super preview' of The Amazing Spider-Man was premiered on the US television show America's Got Talent on May 14, running four minutes, it is packed with new footage and a better look at the villainous Lizard.

The latest big screen re-boot of the Marvel superhero, Spider-Man aka Peter Parker, stars Andrew Garfield ('The Social Network') in the title role and Rhys Ifans as his nemesis.

The much-anticipated film follows high-school nerd Parker as he discovers something that could help reveal the big shadow of his parents' disappearance. In the meantime, Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner, delivers dire news.

Attached to a new trailer is a 90-second scene featuring several cars careening off a bridge and Spider-Man's frantic effort to save them and rescue a child trapped inside one of the dangling vehicles.

Since American cinemas don't play trailers longer than 2:30 minutes, this extra footage offers a good sense of the suspense-packed scenes.
