Ada Choi denies being dominant in marriage

20 Aug – Hong Kong actress Ada Choi may looked like the more dominant partner in her marriage with Chinese actor Max Zhang but the actress recently said that nothing could be further than the truth.

Mingpao News reported that the actress recently attended a promotional event for a health product at the HKCEC, which she endorsed jointly with her martial arts actor husband – their first endorsement as a couple in Hong Kong.

Asked to address rumours saying that they are paid a seven figure sum for endorsing the product, Ada laughed and said, "The payment is of course higher than usual because there are two of us."

Ada also addressed speculations about her domineering ways, after Max's past interview saying that she controls the family finance. "I deal with the budget, but my husband is responsible for our daughters' education, like what school they should get into and things like that. I never go against him on things that are under his care."

"I really respect my husband. I may speak loudly but it doesn't mean that I am not a gentle person. I do listen to him," said Ada, adding that the two of them have always discussed their issues together.

"You should never keep things to yourself, or it will accumulate and make you depressed," the actress concluded.
