AKB48 streams general election online

6 June – AKB48 fans would be able to obtain the results of the 4th AKB48 general election as soon as it is announced if they follow the event's online stream on 6 June (JST).

According to Tokyo Hive, AKB48 has announced that they would be streaming the events of the 4th general election live through the group's Google+ account or akb48plus.com on 6 June that will begin on 5.30pm (JST), in Japanese and English.

During the broadcast, fans would be able to give their favourite idol a '+1' during the election's proceedings that would be added to a live tally that can be seen by everyone watching the stream.

When the election ends, it will be followed by an online broadcast of the general election winner's speech at 11.00 (JST).
