With 2 STATES turning out to be a clean hit, Alia Bhatt has a lot to smile. While she is soaking in all the adulations coming her way, she has also put together plans to unwind herself from a hectic 2014 so far. The first step in this direction is to take off for a European holiday.

"Yes, I am going on a holiday to Paris and London. I would be accompanied by my mother and sister," says Alia who, after HIGHWAY, has won some good appreciation for her all over again. With a good part of last year spent on road trips made to different parts of the country for HIGHWAY and this year spent in back to back promotion of her two releases, Alia is looking for some breather.

"I want to get back to my normal life for a few days at the least," she says, "Once I return, I would resume shooting of HUMPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIYA with Varun Dhawan.

Meanwhile she is basking in the glory of critical success of HIGHWAY and commercial acceptance of 2 STATES. Is it redemption of sorts for Alia who faced the threat of being written off after STUDENT OF THE YEAR, despite the Karan Johar film being a good money spinner?

"Well, it is not redemption per se but yes, I have managed to change perception of few people in the industry and audience in general. Now that's satisfactory because a lot was written about me after STUDENT OF THE YEAR. It was said that I was not cut out to be an actor and was just there as a pretty face. I thought about it and knew that the only way I could prove them wrong was through my work. So I put all my effort during HIGHWAY and 2 STATES, both of which were totally different films. I am glad to be seen in a different light now," she gleams.

Well girl, you have earned it. It is now time to chill out for a while before returning to the call of 'Lights, Sound, Camera, Action'.
