Andrew Lau wants to focus on "From Vegas to Macau 2"

27 Feb – While director Wong Jing revealed that there will be a sequel to the hit Lunar New Year gambling comedy, "From Vegas to Macau", it was reported that the production company is also planning to produce the next instalment of the "God of Gamblers" franchise, entitled "God of Gamblers 3D".

However, according to Oriental Daily, director Andrew Lau, who is one of the producers of the Chow Yun-fat starrer stated, "Let's make the sequel to "From Vegas to Macau" first before we start talking about "God of Gamblers"."

Andrew, who attended the 2014 Spring Banquet held by the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers, stated that he has recently flown over to Beijing to discuss the storyline for the sequel.

"Right now, I am waiting for Wong Jing's decision. Of course, we will work with the original team, but there will be some new additions," said the producer.

However, Andrew refused to elaborate more on the details, and only expressed his hopes that the pre-production will begin as soon as possible.
