Andy On & Jennifer Tse call it quits

27 May – In the midst of wedding rumours surrounding one of Hong Kong's famous celebrity couples, Andy On and Jennifer Tse, the two surprised many when they ended up calling it quits on their four years' worth of relationship.

According to Jayne Stars, a source recently reported that the breakup was mutual, stating, "It was not caused by a third party. Andy loves and treats Jennifer really well, saying that Jennifer was his most compatible girlfriend."

However, the actor has given no reason for the breakup, and his rep only confirmed what the public already knew, adding, "Andy cherished the past four years and even though they are no longer a couple, they will always be friends."

Meanwhile, Jennifer's assistant only replied that the actress has no comment over the news.

Rumour has it that the actress has not been happy with Andy's lack of ambition and desire to develop in the film industry, even giving up the opportunity to act in Wong Kar-wai's "The Grandmaster".

It was also rumoured that just before the breakup, Andy had planned to propose and decided on a small island as their wedding venue.

Andy On and Jennifer Tse had been together for four years after the latter's brother, Nicholas Tse, introduced them in 2008. The Tses had always regarded the "Cold War" actor as a part of the family and Andy often joined them in their family events.
