Anthony Wong improvises as he acts

25 Jul – Filming his TV comeback with TVB's "Lord of Shanghai", movie actor Anthony Wong admits to ad-libbing his lines as he sees fit.

According to Mingpao News, speaking to the media at the promotional event of child psychologist Ho Nim Chee's new book, "Ten Month Relationship", Anthony justified his improvisations by saying that the original dialogues sometimes lack the pizzazz it needed.

"I altered my dialogue so it is more in tune with my character," he said. "While reading it, I can tell that the writers are really young with not much life experiences."

The actor said that though the general idea is there, the writers seemed unable to express it in words.

"It's not a big issue. But actors have to pick up on their own," said the actor.

He denied that it was a bold move for an actor to alter the original script, saying that what he did was only expressing the same points with better presentation.

Anthony also admitted that he is currently enjoying the filming process and working with three-time TV King, Wayne Lai.

"We are working happily," the actor enthused.
