Anthony Wong won't help his son

26 Aug – Hong Kong actor Anthony Wong applauded Jackie Chan for his effort to help his detained son, Jaycee Chan, but said that it would not be the case if his son did the same thing.

As reported on Mingpao News, the actor, who was filming "Lord of Shanghai" recently, shared that he has been following the case and has been using it as an example to teach his son.

"I am certain that my son is not taking drugs. But I still told him that he is the one who makes his choices in life and if he does something wrong, he will have to deal with it on his own," said Anthony.

He continued, "I told him it would be okay if his father has any power to do something, but I won't be any help. Jackie knows a lot of people, so he can hire lawyers. The treatment is different."

The actor admitted that he was not a model youth when he was young but drugs were never an option.

"Actors have to concentrate and rely on their mind. Drugs will only affect your memory and upset your concentration. I have seen actors who work under the influence of drugs and one of them can't even remember two lines of dialogue. It took a whole day. Why would you submit to that?"

The actor urged the public not to do drugs, saying that it will only develop addiction and harm one's body.
