This Friday will witness the release of Homi Adjania's Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty starrer, COCKTAIL. Given the popular music, the fresh promos, and with Saif Ali Khan essaying a role that his audiences, especially the youth love, the film is all set to embark on a good start at the multiplexes and good cinemas. In the single screens COCKTAIL will be affected by the still strong BOL BACHCHAN.

Last Friday saw the release of Rohit Shetty's Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Asin starrer, BOL BACHCHAN. Though the film started on a good to decent note, it picked up pace as the weekend progressed, and continued the good run even during the weekdays. The film is all set to be hit, how big or small, depends on the coming weeks. BOL BACHCHAN has also done quite well in the overseas (good in US) grossing and#163;161,100 from UK and $562,000 in the US, during the opening weekend (6-8 July).

After quite an ordinary start Kabeer Kaushik's MAXIMUM went from bad to worse as the days progressed and collected 50 lakhs from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 20.50 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 3.75 lakhs from Surat, 2.65 lakhs from Baroda (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 3.30 lakhs from Pune, 1 lakh from Nasik, 1.50 lakhs from Goa, 25 lakhs from Delhi city, 5.50 lakhs from Noida, 3.20 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 2.20 lakhs from Kanpur, 3.50 lakhs from Lucknow, 2 lakhs from Allahabad, 6.50 lakhs from Gurgoan, 1.35 lakhs from Faridabad, 1.15 lakhs from Chandigarh, 10 lakhs from Calcutta (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 1.50 lakhs from Siliguri, 3 lakhs from Nagpur, 1.55 lakhs from Jabalpur, 3 lakhs from Raipur, 3 lakhs from Indore, 5 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 15 lakhs from Hyderabad, 2 lakhs from Aurangabad (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), and 6.75 lakhs from Bangalore. Netting a poor 3 crores during the opening week, the Naseer-Sonu starrer, MAXIMUM has flopped at the ticket window.

Moving on, Kunal Kohli's Shahid-Priyanka starrer, TERI MERI KAHAANI, crashed badly in the second week as it collected 60 lakhs from Bombay, 25 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 10 lakhs from Surat, 7.75 lakhs from Baroda, 5.50 lakhs from Rajkot, 14 lakhs from Pune, 3.75 lakhs from Nasik, 3.20 lakhs from Goa, 1.25 lakhs from Belgaum, 65 lakhs from Delhi city, 8.85 lakhs from Noida, 9.20 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 8.35 lakhs from Kanpur, 14 lakhs from Lucknow, 4 lakhs from Agra, 2 lakhs from Allahabad, 12 lakhs from Gurgoan, 2.10 lakhs from Faridabad, 5 lakhs from Chandigarh, 2.70 lakhs from Jalandhar, 1 lakh from Amritsar, 1.60 lakhs from Ludhiana, 13.25 lakhs from Calcutta (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 3 lakhs from Siliguri, 2.25 lakhs from Nagpur, 2.60 lakhs from Jabalpur, 3.35 lakhs from Raipur, 6 lakhs from Indore, 2.25 lakhs from Gwalior (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 3.30 lakhs from Bhopal, 14.50 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 15 lakhs from Hyderabad, 1.55 lakhs from Aurangabad (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 15 lakhs from Bangalore, 1.55 lakhs from Visakhapatnam and 1.25 lakhs from Madras (collections from other cinemas unreceived). Adding another 5 crores, TERI MERI KAHAANI has netted 28 crores in two weeks from India and has flopped. Surprisingly the film has done very well in the overseas (good in US), grossing and#163;421,000 from UK and $750,000 from the US till the third weekend (6-8 July).

Meanwhile Anurag Kashyap's GANGS OF WASSEYPUR saw a quite a stable second week as it collected 1.25 crores from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 16.25 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 3.15 lakhs from Surat, 4.25 lakhs from Baroda (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 2.20 lakhs from Rajkot, 14.60 lakhs from Pune, 5.25 lakhs from Nasik, 2 lakhs from Goa, 1.25 lakhs from Belgaum, 1.20 crore from Delhi city, 22 lakhs from Noida, 14 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 9.50 lakhs from Kanpur, 18.35 lakhs from Lucknow, 3.50 lakhs from Agra, 5.75 lakhs from Allahabad, 30 lakhs from Gurgoan, 3 lakhs from Faridabad, 5.75lakhs from Chandigarh, 1.50 lakhs from Jalandhar, 1 lakhs from Ludhiana, 20 lakhs from Calcutta (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 1.50 lakhs from Siliguri, 10 lakhs from Nagpur, 6.35 lakhs from Jabalpur, 6.50 lakhs from Raipur, 12.55 lakhs from Indore, 1.55 lakhs from Gwalior (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 3.75 lakhs from Bhopal, 16 lakhs from Jaipur, 15.50 lakhs from Hyderabad, 30.50 lakhs from Bangalore, 2 lakhs from Mangalore, 1.50 lakhs from Visakhapatnam and 2.50 lakhs from Madras (collections from other cinemas unreceived). With another 7.50 crores, GANGS OF WASSEYPUR has netted 25 crores in two weeks from India. The Manoj Bajpai starrer is already an above average fare!

Checking out Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Boman-Sharman starrer FERRARI KI SAWAARI, the film is ending it's run as it collected 70 lakhs from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 9.35 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 3.35 lakhs from Surat, 5 lakhs from Baroda (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 1.35 lakhs from Rajkot, 7 lakhs from Pune, 2.65 lakhs from Nasik, 1.50 lakhs from Goa, 40 lakhs from Delhi city, 6.50 lakhs from Noida, 3.35 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 3.20 lakhs from Lucknow, 9 lakhs from Gurgoan, 1.55 lakhs from Chandigarh, 8.50 lakhs from Calcutta (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 4 lakhs from Nagpur, 2 lakhs from Raipur, 2.75 lakhs from Indore, 1.35 lakhs from Bhopal, 5.35lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 9.50 lakhs from Bangalore, and 3.50 lakhs from Hyderabad. With another 2.50 crores, FERRARI KI SAWAARI has netted a fair 29 crores in three weeks from India. Unfortunately due to the high price at which it was sold to the global distributor, it is a commercial failure. The film has done well in the overseas and the collections are quite good in the US.

Concluding with Prabhudheva's Akshay-Sonakshi starrer, ROWDY RATHORE, after a stupendous run the film is now concluding its act as it collected 10 lakhs from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 20 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 3 lakhs from Surat, 6.50 lakhs from Baroda (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 1.35 lakhs from Rajkot, 1 lakh from Nasik, 3.65 lakhs from Delhi city, 1.25 lakhs from Noida, 1.55 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 3 lakhs from Kanpur, 5.15 lakhs from Lucknow, 1.75 lakhs from Chandigarh, 3.50 lakhs from Nagpur, 1.50 lakhs from Raipur, 5 lakhs from Indore, 5 lakhs from Bhopal, 16 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 5 lakhs from Hyderabad and 1.50 lakhs from Aurangabad (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived). Adding another 2 crore, ROWDY RATHORE has netted 134 crore in five weeks from India and is a blockbuster hit. The film is decent in overseas grossing and#163;441,000 from UK and $777,500 from the US till the sixth weekend (6-8 July).
