Brand-new Idol Society apologise for prank

13 Apr – Fans were distraught with Brand-new Idol Society (BiS) when they announced that they would be conformed to being an orthodox idol group and their director Watanabe Junnosuke would be leaving them after the release of their lacklustre single "Idol".

This was taken quite seriously by fans as the announcement was made in March and did not seem like a April Fool's joke. Some members from the new-concept idol group went as far as saying that their new direction to being an ordinary idol group was the best thing to do.

However, this all changed when it was revealed to be a prank pulled by the idol group and Watanabe when they release a new promotional video for their upcoming single.

A video clip of the three idols and their director was posted where they apologised to their fans for the prank and Watanabe was punished by slaps from the idols for coming up with the idea.

"Idol" would be released on 15 April and BiS would be having a live event upon its release, where they are also expected to reveal a new member.
