Carina Lau knew about Faye Wong's marriage problem
17 Sep – While many expressed their surprise at the news of celebrity couple Faye Wong and Li Yapeng's divorce, Hong Kong actress Carina Lau revealed that it's not news to her.
According to Xinhua website, while speaking to the media at the launch of her restaurant recently, the "Young Detective Dee" actress, who is also a close friend of the Chinese songstress, stated that she knew about the problem in their marriage long before the news came out.
She expressed, "Faye and Yapeng have tried their best to fix their marriage but they have irreconcilable differences. I have been aware of Faye's decision for quite a while."
She added, "Faye is a strong woman. I'm sure she will make it through."
On 15 September, Faye Wong and husband, Li Yapeng shocked many when they announced their separation via Weibo, citing irreconcilable differences to be the main reason.
