Cecilia Cheung denies breach of contract

11 Oct – Cecilia Cheung's manager, Yu Yu Xing, has recently denied allegations made by Haisong Group that the actress has breached her contract.

As reported on China News, previously, the company's president Gong Tinghai accused the actress of breaching her contract by not attending a recording session of a programme, "Goddess New Clothes" (also known as "Muse Dress"), after signing the agreement and being paid RMB 2 million (approximately USD 326,155).

Gong stated that he has already reported the incident to the police and will take legal action against the actress and her management agency.

However, according to Yu, it was Haisong Group who broke their terms first.

Yu stated that the company changed the channel where the show was supposed to air, from Hunan TV to Dragon TV without informing them.

Yu also revealed that Haisong Group has even changed other part of the agreement, including the structure of the show, its content and guests.

"Cecilia has the right not to attend as she follows the terms of the contract that she signed," Yu said.
