Cecilia Cheung needs no rich suitor
10 Apr – Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung has stressed that she has no need for a wealthy or successful man to be her boyfriend, and will accept anyone as long as they follow her simple rules.
As reported on Xinhua, the actress, who accepted a radio interview recently, stated that he wants a man who will accept her as an actress but can treat her like a normal person.
"[He must understand] that I have to eat and use the toilet, I need to drink water for energy and not survive on battery!" she said half-jokingly.
She also needs a man who won't be affected by the media's reports, saying, "He has to accept whatever the media is writing about him. If such a man exists, I will stay with him without looking back."
She also hopes not to date another celebrity again, saying that an artiste will continue to sharpen his acting skills and broaden his showbiz career to the age of 50. An artiste will also have a bond with the media and fans, which sometimes turns out to be a bigger priority than his own family.
To a formerly married woman like Cecilia, love is the only important thing in her life.
"I have enough money to eat and to have a roof over my head. I may be driving a luxurious car now, but I may also be taking a public transport," she said. "I won't be dating someone that easily now. I don't want my sons to see so many 'uncles' around."
