Cecilia Cheung: "We will not reconcile"

11 May – While the two may be occasionally seen going out together, any hope of reconciliation between Cecilia Cheung and her estranged ex-husband, actor Nicholas Tse, lately have been quelled by Cheung herself, who recently affirmed that they are not heading towards that direction nor seeking to rebuild their broken marriage.

According to Jayne Stars, Cheung has stated that she has no plans to reconcile with Tse and does not want to change their current relationship for the sake of their children.

"No, it will not happen. We are friends right now and get along well. I do not wish to change this relationship!" Cheung firmly said during the film premiere of "Shadows of Love" at Guangzhou.

Cecilia added, "I've never considered getting back together. We will not reconcile. Everyone, please do not think too much. Thank you!"

Cheung's younger brother, Ronnie Cheung, has also denied rumours that his sister had written a three-page long love letter to Tse, admitting her mistakes and begging Tse for a year to redeem herself.

"I wish them well as long as they are happy!" he said, adding that two had been cooking meals together and staying close for the sake of their two sons, Lucas and Quintus.

The rumours sparks of the two seeking to restore their five-year marriage were ignited since December 2011, and were fuelled when the pair was seen together on several occasions.

Tse had reportedly spent four nights in Cheung's new house in March and recently the pair attended Lucas' school performance on 4 May.
