Chatmonchy announces new album

13 Aug – Japanese all-female rock band Chatmonchy have announced that they would be releasing a new album in October.

According to Tokyo Hive, the band announced that their new album "Henshin" would be released on 10 October during their performance at the "Rock In Japan Festival" on 4 August.

This would be the band's first album as a two-piece unit since the departure of drummer Kumiko in September 2011.

No track list for the new album was revealed, but members Eriko Hashimoto and Akiko Fukuoka has expressed that this will be their 'first transformation' as a two-piece band.

Chatmonchy is expected to go on a nationwide tour in Japan following the release of the album.
