Chen Kun says he was only expressing frustration over MH370

31 Mar – Chinese actor Chen Kun, who recently slammed Malaysia for what he deemed as irresponsible and incompetent in handling the flight MH370 search and rescue, stated that he was only expressing himself and not trying to provoke anything.

As reported on Sina's Daily News, the actor who was in Shanghai recently, stressed that his comment was not meant to provoke and incite others' wrath, but was only an expression of anger and dissatisfaction.

Said Chen Kun, "Though I am a public figure, every time I see the pain these people have to endure, I began to feel it myself. I was only commenting about the Malaysian government and Malaysian Airlines."

"We have all seen the government's deception in regards to the incident for the past weeks," said the actor.

The actor added that he was not trying to provoke anything and hopes that everyone would not exaggerate.

Previously, the "Painted Skin" actor, who has over 72 million followers on Weibo, sparked criticism from many when he said that he would not buy Malaysian products and travel to Malaysia until the Malaysian government "takes down their clown-like mask and tells the truth" about MH370.

Several followers slammed the actor for expressing his opinion without understanding the issue, which may incite his millions of followers to also lash out on anything and everything Malaysian unrelated to the incident.
