Chow Yun-fat's salary increases for "From Vegas 2"

8 Jul – It was revealed that Chow Yun-fat will be receiving an increase of salary for his comeback to "From Vegas to Macau 2", as reported by Oriental Daily.

Recently, at the production commencement ceremony in Thailand, director Wong Jing admitted to the media that he has indeed made the decision to increase the actor's salary.

"Chow originally wanted to push the filming to next year, but I told him that I have tailored another role for him next year for my 100th film," said Wong.

"He finally agreed after reading the script and I increased his salary as a sign of sincerity," said Wong, though he refused to reveal the actual amount.

With a budget of RMB 150 million (approx. USD 24.15 million), Wong hopes that the sequel, which will also star Nick Cheung, Shawn Yue and child actress Angela Wang, will be able to beat the box office record of the first film, which made over RMB 500 million (USD 80.5 million) in mainland China and HKD 35 million (USD 4.5 million) in Hong Kong.
