Comedian Kim Jeong Ku and Team of Voluntary Divers Help Find 3 Bodies in Sewol

After leaving Seoul to lend help to the rescue divers, comedian Kim Jeong Ku returned back home, bringing attention to unsung heros, who risked their lives for others.

On April 19, Kim Jeong Ku updated his Facebook page, on which he told family, friends, and fans that he will heading to Jindo as a voluntary diver to help rescue the missing in the sunken ship Sewol.



His post on April 20 said that his team of voluntary divers was able to find three bodies.

“Our team found three bodies. Choi Man Gyu, Yoon Deok Gyu, Seo Jae Hyun, Jung Sung, Park Sang Geun, Kim Nam Gi, Kim Jeong Ku," wrote Kim Jeong Ku. "Our team found three bodies. I cannot receive the support on my own. Please know the names of these people.”

On April 17, Kim Jeong Ku posted, “To be even a little help, I am going to volunteer in Jindo. Please pray that both the children and I be safe.” After leaving Seoul on April 18, he returned on April 20.

Meanwhile, 64 people have been confirmed dead with 238 still missing after Sewol sunk in the early mornings of April 16.
