Da Bing passes away due to acute pneumonia

31 Jul - Taiwanese entertainer Da Bing had passed away at the age of 37 in a hospital in Beijing last week after being diagnosed with acute pneumonia.

The entertainer's death was only recently revealed by the media, and confirmed by his former manager Shen Yu-Lin. The former manager told reporters that his family had intentionally kept the entertainer's death low profile.

Taiwanese media reported that late entertainer's ashes had been taken back to Taiwan by his brother, Xiao Bing on 23 July. His memorial service was held yesterday in a local church in Taiwan.

Da Bing, also known as Tony Fish, is well-known for impersonating politicians and female celebrities in Taiwanese variety shows. The late entertainer was absent from showbiz quite a while after being charged for drug offences in the year 2009.
