David Tao breaks down at father's cremation

20 Sep – Taiwanese singer David Tao broke down at the cremation ceremony of his father, Taiwanese comedian, Tao Da Wei.

As reported on Groove Asia website, on the early morning of 15 September, Tao -accompanied by his mother, Wang Fu Rong and family friend, Sun Yue attended the ceremony after his father's passing due to cancer on 12 September. The singer was spotted with a mask at the National Taiwan University Hospital, bringing his father's body to the crematorium with the assistance of hospital staffs.

Both Tao and his mother broke down in tears when the body of 71-year-old Tao Da Wei was pushed into the cremation machine and was seen later holding his father's ashes in a burial urn, with Sun Yue following behind alongside other attendees.

Tao Da Wei's memorial service will be held on 21 September at Muzha Ling Liang Church Hill. The comedian and Sun Yue's collaboration song, "Friends Song" will be played during the ceremony.
