Deric Wan's manager lashes back

10 Aug – The manager of Deric Wan has lashed back at the allegations made by Wen Jiarong that he had swindled her money and physically injured her, claiming that her actions are simply a publicity seeking stunt.

According to JayneStars, Deric's manager Linda Wu first responded to Wen Jiarong's claim that Deric had refused to repay her RMB 500,000 (approximately SG$ 97,984) that he borrowed, saying that it was impossible for her to have that kind of money.

"You can check this woman's work history. Did she film a commercial or act in any television dramas? How is she able to lend the money?" she said, before adding that aside from acting, Deric also runs businesses so there was no need for him to borrow such an amount from Wen.

As for Wen's second allegation that Deric had caused the scar on her neck, Wu said it is ridiculous and was made to be a publicity stunt.

"We will not make any explanations; neither do we wish to be used by other people. They do know each other. As to whether they were once lovers, it is inappropriate for me to comment. I can only say that they no longer have any relations," she said.

Meanwhile, still refraining himself to make an official statement, Deric continues his salvo of sarcasm on his Weibo about Wen.

"Have you seen the legendary two-headed snake? Although it is very vicious, but its lifespan is also short. This is the same for humans. Do you understand?" one of his posts read.

Deric then posted a picture of a white crocodile and wrote: "This is an unedited photo. Due to the gene mutation: a white crocodile. Although it changes its appearance, it cannot change its vicious character. A leopard never changes its spots!"
