Director Barry Sonnenfeld Says He’ll Make the Wonder Girls into Aliens Next

With the world premiere event of the movie Men in Black 3, director Barry Sonnenfeld stated, “In the next one, I’ll cast the Wonder Girls as aliens.”

Director Barry Sonnenfeld and the two leads, Will Smith and Josh Brolin, met with Korean fans on the red carpet at the Times Square Mall in Youngdeung-po, Seoul on May 7 for the world premiere event.

To Sunye and Hyerim of the Wonder Girls, who attended this event, director Barry Sonnenfeld promised, “For Men in Black 4, I’ll definitely cast the Wonder Girls.” Earlier this day during the press conference, when asked who he thought to be aliens, Will Smith replied, “The Wonder Girls,” and director Barry Sonnenfeld continued the joke by saying he’ll cast them.

About the Wonder Girls, Will Smith said, “My daughter is a fan. She played their music all day today. I hope they decide to collaborate with us.”

And they promised. The two Wonder Girls members said, “We’re really excited to be a part of this event and so glad to have met with them.”

After coming on stage with some difficulty, Will Smith greeted the fans with, “Ahn nyeong ha sae yo” followed by, “It’s been ten years since I’ve been in Korea. I feel I returned to my hometown.” As a rapper, Will Smith excited the fans by yelling, “Everybody say Hey~”

On this day, the red carpet event went smoothly as planned with the director, the actors, and thousands of fans who gathered to see the stars. With the fans’ loud cheering, Will Smith started dancing and showed his excitement to be there. Josh Brolin and director Barry Sonnenfeld also seemed thrilled to be there, as they greeted fans.

With the end of the press conference, red carpet event, and screening, the world premiere event with the director and actors came to a close. Men in Black 3, made in 3D, will be released worldwide on May 24.
