Spencer Boldman, one of the three young stars of Disney XD's "Lab Rats," will appear as the male lead opposite Haley Ramm ("Disconnect") in adoption drama, "Dakota Rose."
Written and directed by Timothy Armstrong ("Cowgirls n' Angels"), the film follows a 17-year-old trick horseback rider, Dakota Rose (Ramm), who finds out she has been adopted and sets out on a quest to discover who she really is and ultimately comes to realize that her adopted family is the family she was always meant to have.
Boldman, who also had a small role in 2012 comedy hit "21 Jump Street," will play Bryce Tucker, a teenager who works Dakota's biological grandfathers ranch, and befriends Dakota.
"Lab Rats," a live-action comedy series, premiered in 2012. Boldman plays Adam, one of three teen super-humans with bionic powers living in the basement of a wealthy entrepreneur's mansion.
Boldman is repped by Coast to Coast, Antonia DeNardo of Millennium Artists and Felker Toczek Gellman Suddleson.
