Donnie Yen is relieved no one was hurt during fire

2 Aug – Martial arts actor Donnie Yen expressed his thoughts about the fire that broke out at the two West Auckland filming studios in New Zealand, where he was currently filming his Hollywood movie "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II – The Green Destiny".

According to Oriental Daily News, the actor, who was resting in his hotel room when the news broke out, said that he was at ease upon hearing that no one was injured but was unable to rest because of it.

"It is truly tragic that both studios were burnt. But I hope from now on everything will go on smoothly," said Donnie, adding that he commuted between the two studios for practices every day.

The actor also assured that the production has not been affected by the fire, since they were working in a different studio.

More than 60 fire-fighters were called in and it took them three hours to put out the fire that broke out at the Henderson Valley Road on 31 July.
