Donnie Yen to star in "Noodle Man"

20 Oct – Martial arts actor Donnie Yen will be working on a new Sino-American co-production, "Noodle Man".

As reported on Twitch Film, the actor will be playing the role of a retired cop from China who opened a noodle shop in New York after resigning from the police force due to the death of his partner.

However, everything changes when the same drug lord who killed his partner 15 years ago enters his noodle shop one fateful day.

The actor admitted, "I am looking forward to filming this movie, and I hope to be able to bring the best of the East and the West for the audience."

The movie producer, Michael Shamberg, whose credits include "Erin Brokovich", "Pulp Fiction", and "A Fish Called Wanda", stated that he was interested to work with Donnie after watching his past films, saying that the actor is not only good in martial arts, but also excels in dramatic performances.

The movie will be directed by Chen Daming, of "What Women Want" fame.
