"Dragon Blade" will not be postponed

14 Oct – Jackie Chan's representative has recently dismissed rumours saying that the action star has plans to delay the release of his new movie, "Dragon Blade", due to his son's drug scandal.

Previously, it was alleged that the actor-turned-filmmaker decided to postpone the release for fear that the media will only focus on Jaycee's drug case rather than his movie.

However, according to Tencent Entertainment, the production studio recently denied any plan of postponing the movie's release date.

The representative stated that the movie will follow its original schedule for release early next year and that Jackie will be attending all promotions.

"This is a typical Jackie Chan movie, and it was made with the effort of thousands of staff. There is no way that an individual issue can affect the whole movie," said the representative.

"Dragon Blade", co-starring John Cusack, Adrien Brody and Choi Siwon, will also be competing with other Chinese productions, including "Tiny Times 4", "Monster Hunt" and "Wolf Totem" that will be released around the same time.
