"Dream High" adapted to Japanese musical

22 Mar – Japanese singer Matsushita Yuya revealed that popular Korean drama series "Dream High" is set to gets its own musical adaptation in Japan.

According to a popular Japanese pop culture blog, Aramatheydidnt, the singer is set to play the leading role as a Japanese version of Kim Soo-hyun's popular role Song Sam-dong. Girl group BRIGHT's Nanaka is set to play the female lead, portraying Go Hye-mi who was originally played by miss A member Suzy.

Along with both of them, Mizuta Kouki ("Prince of Tennis"), Joey, Juria Kawakami (Jurian Beat Crisis) as well as Anna Santos were revealed to have been cast into the musical.

The musical will run from 3 July to 20 July at the New National Theatre. It will be choreographed and directed by Masuda Tetsuharu, who is known for his work on AKB48's "Beginner" and SMAP's "Sotto Kyutto" music videos, among others.
